John Barlow got a taste of the system when, after a search of his luggage while travelling the not so friendly skys, they came across misdemeanor amounts of controlled substances. He is fighting this on the basis that it was an inappropriate search (4th ammendment). The airlines have permission to search your luggage for explosives (not narcotics). The US Governement seems to be doing everything that they can to stop this guys case but John Gilmore from the EFF is trying to fight this.
